**SS Videlhousen was a German troop transport that, equipped with radar, tried to round and fire on the Zelda. However, there was a thick fog and by the time both ships were visible it was too late to avoid a collision. Zelda threw her engines full astern and turned to avoid, but bifurcated (cut in half) the Videlhousen.
